Flight to India (Delhi)
Around Midnight arrival in Delhi. The cosmopolitan City and
capital Delhi is the main gateway for travelers. You are met

Exotic East India Tour: Day 02. Delhi - Bhuneshwar Tour (by air)
Late morning flight to Bhubaneshwar. Bhubaneshwar (The Lord
of the universe) is now the modern capital city of the
Indian State Orissa. Bhubaheshwar had once 7000 temples
which were built between 8th and 13th centuries. In the
afternoon we visit some of the finest examples of the
classical temple architecture including Lingraj, Rajrani and
Mukteshhwar temples.
Exotic East India Tour: Day 03. Bhuneshwar - Konark - Puri
Tour (about 70 km)
Today we drive through the tropical coastal area to the
famous Temples of Konarak. Konarak was once the centre of
Buddhism in India is today famous for the Hindu temples. The
world famous Surya Temple which was dedicated to God Surya
(sun) was build in the 13th century. Surya temple of Konarak
represents the complete development of orissan style and
architecture which is only one time example in India being
the most beautiful without any counterpiece. In the
afternoon we drive to Puri.Puri is considered the most
sacred city in Orissa. Rest of the day at leisure.
Exotic East India Tour: Day 04. Puri Tour
Puri is one of the four most important pilgrimage centres
for Hindus.The temple of Jagannath (God Vishnu), who is
considered the preserver of the world in Hinduism, attracts
thousands on feast every day, particularly at the time of
‘Rath Yatra’ (the car festival). The Jagannath temple is
also referred as the white Pagoda and it accommodates 5000
priests in its premises. It’s an experience to observe the
activities of the pilgrims visiting this unique temple. In
the afternoon we drive to Puri where we have a break and
relax.The beaches of Puri are considered among the best in
India.
Exotic East India Tour: Day 05. Puri - Bhuneshwar (about 70
km) - Kolkata (by air)
In the early morning drive from Puri to Bhubaneshwar. We fly
from Bhubaneshwar to Kolkata (formerly Calcutta). Transfer
to the hotel in kolkata. The rest of the day at leisure.
Exotic East India Tour: Day 06. Kolkata Sightseeing
Kolkata is India’s largest city and one of the biggest city
in south Asia. This city was one of the earliest colonial
city of British in India. Today we explore this vibrant and
lively city during the whole day tour. We visit the Victoria
Memorial and magnificent buildings in the area of
Chowringhee and Dalhousie Square. We also visit the
Jain-Temple and the Fort Williams. In the area Joransanko we
have the opportunity to visit the family house of the famous
Indian writer Rabindrnath Tagore.
Exotic East India Tour: Day 07. Kolkata - Bagdogra (by air)
- Darjeeling (about 100 km)
Late morning flight from Kolkata to Bagdogra. After the
arrival in Bagdogra we proceed north of the state through
the coniferous forests and terraced tea gardens and arrive
in Darjeeling (Darjiling). Darjeeling (place of the
thunderbolt) have spectacular scenery. Due to its altitude
of 2134m and soothing temperature in Summer Darjeeling has
become a famous hill resort in India.By clear weather we can
enjoy the impressive/ unforgettable views of Himalayas.

Tiger
Hill Tour
Very early in the morning we drive to Tiger Hill (around 11
km.,1 hour) to enjoy the sunrise at the Tiger hill. Tiger
hill (2590 m.) is the highest point in this area. There is a
breathtaking view of the sunrise on Kangchendzonga.
Exotic East India Tour: Day 09. Darjeeling - Pemayangtse
Tour
(about 80 km)
Today we leave the state West Bengal and enter into Sikkim.
Sikkim is the 2nd smallest state in India. Sikkim, in the
East Himalayas is sandwiched between Nepal. Sikkim has so
rich of flora, fauna and a diverse ethnic and cultural
population as no other state in India. We drive through the
forests and tea gardens and proceed to our today’s
destination.
Exotic East India Tour: Day 10. Pemayangtse - Gangtok
Tour (about
120 km)
The capital of Sikkim ‘Gangtok’ lies on a ridge overlooking
the Ranipool river. Gangtok ("High Hill") lies at an
altitude of 1760 m. Gangtok is surrounded by the mountains,
especially from Kangchendzonga range. We visit Tsuk-la-Khang,
the royal chapel which is standing on a high bridge. This is
the major place of worship and has a large and impressive
collection of scriptures.
Exotic East India Tour: Day 11. Gangtok Excursion: Enchey
monastery
Today we drive to the monastery of Enchey. This monastery is
believed to be 200 years old. The monks of this monastery
belong to the Mahayana Buddhism. After the visit of Enchey
monastery we proceed to Martham Village-Resort, where we
have afternoon at leisure.
Exotic East India Tour: Day 12. Gangtok Excursion: Rumtek
monastery Visit
Today we visit the unique Research Institute of Tibetology
on a hilltop which was established in 1958 to promote
research on Tibet and Mahayana Buddhism. Here we will see
the biggest collection of tibetan scripts and an excellent
collection of rare Tankhas, bronze and cult objects. We also
visit orchid Sanctuary which is laying south of the
institute. This Sanctuary contains over 450 indigenous
species. Sikkim is considered paradise for orchid lovers.
The main attraction of our excursion remains today the
monastery of Rumtek. Rumtek monastery was built as a true
copy of a tibetan monastery in recent years.
Exotic East India Tour: Day 13. Gangtok - Kalimpong Tour (about
70 km)
We drive today through the south of Sikkim from Gangtok to
Kalimpong. Kalimpong, a remote hill station has been a
meeting point of the once "three closed lands" on the trade
route to Tibet. The beautiful mountain scenery and the
abundance of flowers have made Kalimpong an attractive
resort. The lifestyle of the local people reflect the social
and religious influences of its neighbouring nations, Nepal,
Tibet and Bhutan.
Exotic East India Tour: Day 14. Kalimpong - Bagdogra (about
80 km) - Delhi (by air)
We drive through the Tista Valley back to Bagdogra.In the
afternoon flight from Bagdogra to Delhi. The rest of the day
at leisure.
Exotic East India Tour: Day 15. Delhi Sightseeing
This morning is at leisure. Afternoon sightseeing in Old
Delhi. Sightseeing of Old Delhi includes also the site where
Mahatma Gandhi was cremated and Jama Masjid, the great
mosque of old Delhi. Today We also visit the famous
“Humayun,s Tomb” Humayun,s Tomb is the first substantial
example of Mughal architecture in India. Before we proceed
to the Hotel we drive through the embassy area in New Delhi
where we visit the India Gate.
